Curing Fear and Insomnia

Khalid bin Walid radiAllahu anhu reported that once he suffered from insomnia.

The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said to him,

" Shall I teach you words that will make you go to sleep when you say them ? "

Allahumma Rabbas Samawaatis-Sab'i, wa ma adhal-lat,

wa Rabbal-aradina, wa ma aqal-lat, wa Rabbash-Shaiateena,

wa ma adhal-lat kun li jaran min sharri khalqika ajma'een ay-yafruta 'alaya ahad-um-minhum, aw ay-yatgha. Azza jaruk, wa tabarakasmuk

O Allah! Lord of the seven Firmaments and whatever they cover,

Lord of the seven earths and whatever they contain,

Creator of the devils and whoever they mislead,

Be my Protector from the evil of all Your Creatures lest some of them may hasten with insolence against me or transgress the bounds. Honoured is he who is in Your Protection and Blessed is Your Name.

Ruqyah (Qur'anic Healing)

Beautiful Recitation of Surah's and Ayat to be used in Ruqyah (Qur'anic Healing) recited by the world renowned Hafiz Shaykh Yahya Hawwa. To cure black magic the following verses from the Qur'aan should be recited: on water, some of which is drank and the rest is used to take a bath. verse Al-Kursi (2:255), surah Al-Kafiroon (109), surah 112, 113, 114 ; the verses which mention magic, which are: in surah Al-Baqarah (2:102 ), Al-A'raaf (3:117-119), Yunus (10:79-82), and Taha (20:65-69). Among the du'aa's which have been narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to treat diseases such as sihr and other things is the ruqyah by means of which he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to treat his companions: “ Allaahumma Rabb an-naas, adhhib il-ba's, washfi anta al-Shaafi laa shifaa'a illa shifaa'uka shifaa'an laa yughaadir saqaman (O Allaah, Lord of mankind, remove the harm and heal him, for You are the Healer and there is no healing except Your healing, with a healing which does not leave any disease behind) .”

Diseases of the Hearts & Their Cures

By Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah. Actions are distinguished, one from the other, with respect to their excellence in the Sight of Allaah in accordance with the condition of the heart, not by their number or form, but rather due to the strength of the caller, his truthfulness, his sincerity and the extent to which he prefer Allaah over himself… Al-Haafidh ibn Hajr al-Asqalaanee, may Allaah have mercy upon him and provide us with his knowledge, said: “The heart has been singled out for this because it is the leader of the body, and through the purification of the leader the subjects become purified, and with his corruption they become corrupted. So if you, Observant of Allaah, wish to cure your hear then it is upon you to be truthful with regards to seeking refuge with Allaah and putting your trust in Him, to pray a great deal of supererogatory prayers, to perform the actions of obedience to Allaah frequently, to pray the night prayer while the people are sleeping, and to treat your heart by making it continuously stick to the remembrances and by befriending only the righteous… and to frequently recite the Qur’aan.
